Fraud Analyst - Payment Processing

Are you eager to put your considerable fraud prevention and data analytics experience to work helping to build a new Operations Fraud Solutions department offering a comprehensive service to our Financial Institution clients? Working closely with the Director, Fraud Solutions, the Fraud Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing the new debit card fraud mitigation strategies used to effectively prevent fraud losses for Threshold's clients. This is a brand new service offering in the initial phase of start-up so your experience implementing sound processes and procedures will be one of the crucial elements you bring to the Fraud Solutions team.

Your primary task will be to identify existing and emerging debit card fraud trends by data mining within the PRISM Fraud Detection System, and other transactional databases, then recommending the correct rules and strategies to follow to ensure we're providing an operationally effective fraud detection solution to our clients. You will also be tasked with preparing documentation supporting your analysis, descriptions of change control processes and outlines of auditing requirements

Our ideal candidate is a confident MS SQL Server database analyst with query design and report creation abilities at the intermediate to advanced level who has considerable skill working with large databases plus a thorough grasp of bank card transaction processing, fraud mitigation tools and industry best practices. Previous experience in chip/EMV fraud management and/or Retail Decision's PRISM fraud detection system would be an asset but is not absolutely necessary.
